In a hard fought game with no quarter given, ‘crunch time’ ran out the clear winners by a twenty-point margin. Theirs was a nervous start as the team’s straw tower suffered erectile dysfunction in the second round and ended somewhere off the pace. Devastatingly accurate film knowledge in the sixth round, compounded by clever joker play, gave them an important push at the midway point. This was followed by a colossal performance by Haddington’s own pocket Hercules, Mr. Glen, in the Tower of Strength round, who destroyed the field and established a new funtime record of 227 seconds. “I am as the mighty atom!” he foamed, as he was wrestled back to his table
